Patient Monitoring System – a system that captures the vital signs and parameters of a patient by use of sensors, D-RIDE – a project that facilitates the transportation system in Dire Dawa, and Soil Moisture Sensor – a device that monitors the moisture level in soil, were the winners of Solve IT 2019 city hub competition of Dire Dawa. These three winners were taken to the capital city for the boot camp and the grand finale for the purpose of exchanging experience with various investors, pitching their projects and competing among other projects from other cities for a final win.
Solve IT is a nationwide innovation competition that’s implemented by iCog Labs, the US Embassy and JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). It aims to tap local talents that are between the ages of 18 – 28 across 15 cities of Ethiopia.
For this year, the team is ready to find the next innovation. It is our greatest pleasure to inform you that there are only a few days left from the launching of Solve IT 2020. For more information about registration, visit their website www.icog-solveit.com.
