Director, Center for Employability & Entrepreneurship Development Directorate
The Center for Employability and Entrepreneurship Development (CEED) Directorate was established in September 2025 as a university-wide directorate operating under the Office of the Academic Vice President.
CEED serves as an integrated platform for career development, employability, entrepreneurship, innovation, industry linkage, and student-to-work transition.
The Directorate bridges academic learning and the world of work by equipping students and graduates with practical skills, career knowledge, entrepreneurial capabilities, and access to employment and professional opportunities.
CEED works with colleges, university offices, employers, government institutions, private-sector organizations, alumni, professionals, training providers, and other partners to create meaningful pathways from learning to employment and entrepreneurship.
Our services connect students and graduates with career, employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.
To enhance the career readiness and entrepreneurial capacity of university students by delivering integrated, student-centered services in career guidance, skills development, innovation and business development, bridging the gap between education and the labor market through strategic partnerships, innovation and inclusive support systems.
To make universities leading catalysts for youth employment and entrepreneurship in Ethiopia by empowering students and graduates with the skills, mindset and opportunities to thrive in a dynamic and inclusive economy.
CEED provides integrated services that help students and graduates move confidently from university to employment, entrepreneurship and professional growth.
We help students understand their strengths, explore career pathways and prepare for successful transitions from university to professional life.
CEED prepares students and graduates for the realities of today's labor market and competitive recruitment processes.
CEED actively disseminates employment and career opportunities to students and graduates through its digital platforms.
We help students transform ideas into viable opportunities through entrepreneurship education, innovation and business development support.
CEED recognizes that employability cannot be developed through classroom learning alone. We promote meaningful engagement between students, graduates, employers and industry to provide practical exposure and workplace learning opportunities.
CEED promotes continuous engagement with graduates and alumni to understand employment outcomes and strengthen university–labor-market connections.
CEED uses graduate tracer studies and industry/employer feedback to understand employment outcomes, identify emerging labor-market needs, assess skills gaps, and continuously improve the University's career and employability initiatives.
CEED builds partnerships that create practical pathways to employment, professional development and entrepreneurship.
The Career Development Center provides practical career support to students and graduates through CV clinics, career counseling, career planning, job-search guidance, application support, interview preparation, and employability skills development.
CEED uses Facebook, Telegram and TikTok to disseminate job opportunities, internship opportunities, training announcements, career information, entrepreneurship opportunities, events and professional development resources.
Expand career counseling, job readiness, skills development, internships and employment support.
Make career services accessible and relevant to students at different stages of their university journey.
Move from Training → Idea Development → Mentorship → Incubation → Finance & Market Linkage.
