About us
In light of this, the Civic and Ethical Studies department in Dire-Dawa University have been planning to offer major Degree programs, in regular and summer since its inauguration in 2020. There is increasing demand and optimism as to the relevance and significance of the Discipline. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the course and, of course, the commitment of the teaching staffs, Civics and Ethics has attracted a pool of student communities in the University.

At
the end of the program, graduates will be able:

peace, constitutionalism, rule of law, democracy& human rights;

Develop of mechanisms of combating corruption, rent-seeking and
other malpractices and immoralities

professionalism and leadership as they engage in service delivering

Carry out consultancy and
training services in various areas of Civics and Ethics;

purpose–oriented organizer, developer and educator of ethical values and
principles among the people with whom he/she works and societal change analysts
at all public organs, municipalities, and training centers;
9. Skilful, far-sighted,
democratically-principled with the highest interpersonal qualities; an
effective expert in Civics and Ethics issues
10. Demonstrate
entrepreneurial and diligent work loving behavior in a way that this generates
positive externality on the business behavior of others.
