Mekdes Getachew

The DDU Library and Information Service was established since 2006 G.C to provide basic services related with reading materials and space that can enrich academic and research capacities of the university community and also provide the most effective university library services possible in response to current and future users' needs. It also aims to maintain and develop access to the university’s information resource collections for teaching and learning as well as research purposes. To meet this expectation, the LIS directorate is structurally organized under the Academic Affairs Vice President (AAVP) Office.

 Mission

Providing fast, updated and easily accessible information resources to the library users that advance the teaching-learning, research, and community services of the University; thereby supporting realization of the University vision.

Vision               

To see being a center for local, national, continental and global information services, and secure repository for scholars by 2030.
