Academic
Programs Directorate has been established at the directorate level in 2024 as a
result of new higher education institution structure. The directorate encompass
four officers and a coordinator;
1)
Pre & post programs officer;
2)
Freshman student program officer;
3)
Teacher development and continuous professional
development officer;
4)
Continuing and distance program officer and English
language coordinator.
The
directorate typically plays a crucial role in the administration and oversight
of academic programs within the Institute, colleges, and the school. The
directorate also oversee the curriculum development process, review, and
enhancement of academic programs to ensure as they meet educational standards
and align with institutional goals in collaborating with faculty and academic
departments to develop and implement curricula that are innovative, relevant,
and effective in meeting student needs based of the university differentiation.
Moreover, the directorate in collaboration with academic officers, support
faculties in the development and delivery of academic programs to enhance
program relevance and opportunities for the students.
