Professor Brent McCusker from the West Virginia University, United States, is delivering a three days training for the staff and students of Dire Dawa University that are going to be member of the Dire Dawa University Youth Mappers Chapter. Staff and students from Department of Surveying, Geology , Information Technology, Geography and environmental studies are taking part in the capacity building training. The youth mappers is a global community of students, researchers, educators, and scholars that use public geospatial technologies to highlight and directly address development and environmental challenges worldwide. The event will include the official launching of Dire Dawa University Chapter of the global Youthmappers, which is funded by the USAID and led by the West Virginia University, Arizona State University and Washington University.
