The West Virginia University which is based in the state of West Virginia in the US, is a research university with various academic programs and has global presence. The discussion which happened as a side event to the Dire Dawa University youth mappers Chapter launch involved Prof. Brent, Dire Dawa University’s top leadership and Director for Strategic Partnership and Internationalization. The delegate appreciated the university’s leadership for taking the lead in realizing the university’s youth mappers Chapter and presented more broad potential areas for the two universities to work together. It was stated on the discussion and agreement was established that the two universities can collaborate on more joint projects, capacity building activities, joint academic works and others. Administrative process will follow up to finalize and sign the Memorandum of Understanding shortly.
