Understanding Challenges, Collaborating for Childrens Well-being

Dire Dawa University, in collaboration with the Ali Birra Foundation, has recently initiated  comprehensive training program focused on child and adolescent mental health and  provided at the Center of Family Service Organization's Dire Dawa Branch. This program is designed for the staff members of the Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology. The training comprises virtual learning modules followed by hands-on practical sessions, ensuring both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Additionally, the program has provided crucial support for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Under the expertise of Dr. Jane Marie Suzle, Dr. Anisa Mohamed, and occupational therapist Angela Schoeppach, these children have undergone thorough assessments and received tailored diagnoses and management plans. This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing mental health care and support for young individuals in the region.
