Dire Dawa University and University of Pavia agreed to expand their partnership

In a discussion held between the President, Dr. Ubah Adem, and delegates from the University of Pavia, joint activities that have been implemented since signing the partnership agreement have been reviewed.

Professor Gian Battista Parigi, the Rector’s Delegate for International Cooperation and Professor Maria Sassi, Director of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Global Development Policies, have both acknowledged the commitment of the Dire Dawa University’s leadership to the implementation of joint agendas and expressed similar commitment from the leadership of the University of Pavia. The two sides reached consensus to upgrade the current partnership and engage on more joint international projects, programs and related areas of joint interest. The team also visited the university’s teaching hospital and its operation and decided to expand the scope of joint engagement to include medical and health programs.

The two professors, whose visit was dueto the joint Erasmus-Plus mobility program, delivered EU Project management capacity building training to the academic staff of the University from March 3-5/3/2025.
