The
Strategic Partnership and Research Internationalization Directorate at the
University, in partnership with the Dire Dawa American Corner, organized an
informative session aimed at introducing first-year students to a range of
academic and personal development opportunities.
The
session which was led by the program coordinator at the corner, Zebib Musema,
highlighted various engagement programs available at the American Corner,
including volunteer activities, self-improvement initiatives, and access to
advanced technology tools that students can utilize for their academic
projects. A key focus of the event was to encourage students to actively
participate in these programs, fostering a culture of collaboration and
innovation.
Additionally,
students were introduced to e-Library USA, a digital resource providing access
to a vast collection of academic articles, research papers, and other
educational materials. This platform is expected to support students in their
studies by offering credible and diverse sources of information.
The
event concluded with a volunteer group setup and interactive discussion, where
students had the opportunity to ask questions and explore ways to maximize
these resources for their academic and personal growth.
