Representatives from universities across seven countries are currently locked to discuss how initiatives related to migration should be managed. A key focus of the dialogue is the establishment of a knowledge hub that would serve as a platform for mobilizing resources, delivering both short- and long-term training to enhance migrants’ skills and knowledge, and organizing seminars and research conferences aimed at informing policy.

Dire Dawa University is taking the lead in facilitating the discussion and is making a strong case to host the proposed knowledge hub.
