Dire Dawa University Hosts Program Accreditation Workshop

The Ethiopian Education and Training Authority (ETA), in collaboration with Dire Dawa University has organized a workshop dedicated to the preparation of national quality accreditation standards for 10 programs of higher education institutions. The event brought together experts from ETA, 18 academics from six other universities and 14 staffs from Dire Dawa University. 

The workshop is intended to discuss and refine accreditation benchmarks that ensure educational excellence across Ethiopian universities. 

During the opening ceremony of the workshop, Dr. Megersa Kassim, Academic vise president of Dire Dawa University, highlighted the importance of aligning institutional practices with national and international quality frameworks. 

Representatives from ETA presented draft standards and engaged participants in consultative discussions aimed at contextualizing them to local realities while maintaining global competitiveness.
