Two European Union-funded projects, MaDE-for-UASs and EtD-Fam, were presented at an international conference today.
The projects, officially titled Methodology and Didactic Education for Universities of Applied Sciences (MaDE-for-UASs) and Ethiopia-Djibouti: Female at Makerspace (EtD-Fam), showcased their ongoing progress and achievements.
Hana Getachew, coordinator of the Ethiopia-Djibouti: Female at Makerspace (EtD-Fam) project, highlighted the progress achieved so far, outlined upcoming plans, and reflected on the challenges encountered during implementation.
Dr. Ephrem Tekel also presented the background, rationale, objectives, and progress of the MaDE-for-UASs project.
He emphasized that MaDE-for-UASs seeks to train 3,000 lecturers in practical skills and modern teaching methods—including Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)—while aligning academic curricula more closely with industry needs.
