Dire Dawa University (DDU) had the pleasure of hosting a distinguished delegation from the University of Turin, Italy, as part of the ongoing partnership between the two institutions.

The delegation, led by Prof. Ivan, spent a productive day at DDU engaging with the top leadership represented by Dr. Megerssa Kasim, Academic Vice-President and also faculty members from the Departments of Biology and Anthropology. The discussions centered around a joint research proposal that aims to deepen academic cooperation and promote collaborative scientific inquiry in areas of shared interest.

Following the meeting, the team visited selected research sites in the Dire Dawa region to conduct field assessments and explore potential areas for joint study and data collection.

This visit marks another important step in the growing collaboration between DDU and UoT — advancing internationalization, research excellence, and cross-cultural academic exchange.
